Position: Maintenance Staff

Wage: $26 - $30

JOB DESCRIPTION

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing machinery, equipment, or structures.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
  • Address plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, or fixture repairs in kitchen and dining areas.
  • Conduct regular checks on HVAC systems to ensure proper functioning.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment for events or functions.
  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of premises by performing cleaning duties.
  • Conduct repairs and troubleshooting in various areas, including carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the restaurant, including floors, restrooms, and dining areas.
  • Handle inventory and stocking of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies, and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests during operating hours.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to address any maintenance-related concerns.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in maintenance, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and its maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a cooperative attitude to work with different teams.

Physical abilities:

  • Must be able to lift and carry 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate well and maintain positive interpersonal relations with co-workers.
