Job Description

Urbanspace is a fast-casual food hall environment. With this role, we intend to bring a full-service option to our guests. We use a blended service model where you will use a handheld, and guests will use QR codes to order.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a comparable position. Professional appearance, excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Create a positive guest experience by guiding guests through the menu, explaining the chef's specialties; answering food preparation questions.
  • Using Toast POS according to standard, sending orders to kitchen; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.
  • Keep kitchen staff informed by timing of meal progression.
  • Ensure consistently clean glasses, silverware, table setups and working areas, and prepare dining area with QR codes
  • Deliver an amazing guest experience through the best combination of food and service
  • Ensures all financial transactions are accurate by operating credit card machines correctly, calculating and returning appropriate change
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of all menu items and is able to answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
  • Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, and safety policies
  • Complete opening and/or closing procedures in a timely manner
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures



REQUIREMENTS:

  • Magnetic charisma and sense of humor.
  • Persistent work ethic.
  • Curiosity, drive and ability to deep dive into learning aspects of service.
  • Ability to, or interested in learning, how to carry a cocktail tray full through a busy hall.
  • Strong verbal communications skills with an ability to clearly articulate flavors to a variety of audiences.
  • A strong intuitive capacity with ability to read and interpret guests verbal & non-verbal communications.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize multiple guests and requests simultaneously with a strong sense of urgency for completion and follow through.
  • Proven ability to build solid relationships and work effectively with others at all levels of an organization.

Physical Abilities: Ability to communicate well and maintain positive interpersonal relations with co-workers and guests.

Must be able to lift and carry 60 lbs.

Dress Attire: Uniform of black pants, black button down shirt , black non-athletic tennis shoes (non-slip)
